Best Practices for Universal Mental Health Screening in Schools trainings

Join us for a comprehensive 60-minute session designed to enhance your understanding of the mental health needs of children and adolescents within Illinois and the benefits of universal mental health screening (UMHS). This session will be led by the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago’s Center for Childhood Resilience. Participants will learn best practices and key tasks and activities involved with creating a district-wide universal mental health screening plan (e.g., communicating new policies to students, staff, and families). The session will also provide insights into potential challenges to implementation and strategies to overcome common barriers to ensure a successful integration of mental health screening in your school district.
